Faith is a living, breathing thing, constantly growing and changing as it accompanies us through our lives. The path of Denise's faith led her to creating custom
rosaries in a number of ways.
"I was raised in the Catholic faith, but had considered myself a 'lapsed Catholic'
in later years. After my parents passed away, I found a broken rosary in their
effects, and felt compelled to repair it.
Not long after, I received a very
similar rosary in the mail, and thought about how the materials just didn't feel
'right'; they didn't seem to hold the spiritual nature I felt a rosary should have."
"I'd been making bead jewelry for some years before that, and as I continued making
jewelry, I felt drawn to creating rosaries, using the same stone beads I use in
my jewelry.
To me, using natural materials like beads formed from seeds, or
stones and crystal in a rosary gives it a greater connection with God - after
all, he
created all these things."
Each rosary is specifically designed around an inspiration; some of the rosaries
Denise designs include stones that are renowned for their healing properties.
Others incorporate art glass and Swarovski crystal, the colors of which can be coordinated
for a special event such as a wedding, christening, or First Communion.
Incorporating light and beauty into these icons of faith and devotion reflects the
joy and peace of divinity that we all believe in.
